Sitting Volleyball Clinic
11/2009 and 10/2009:

Sitting volleyball with Atlantic Valley VBC one of the premier junior volleyball clubs in the NY/NJ metro area hosted the clinic for players and coaches in cooperation with Children's Specialized Hospital’s Paralympic Lightning Wheels and GEVA to encourage athletes with physical disabilities to try their hand at a new and fulfilling sport.

ANYONE CAN PLAY recreationally and practice with the club and we hope to form teams across the area as a result of these clinics.

To join a Paralympic team you must have a physical disability.  While some team members may quickly find themselves representing the U.S in international competitions, fun confidence and sportsmanship are the ultimate goals.

Bob Baker of VBC got Elliot Blake US Paralympic Sitting Volleyball Coordinator to lead the Clinic in October at Kean.

We would like to thank the Kean Woman Volleyball Team and the Atlantic Volley Volleyball players for helping us run the sessions.

Everyone had a great time.  Keep checking the WEB Site for the time and place for the next session.
